The Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT) specification provides for morphing XML documents into other XML documents. An XML document can also be transformed into a format other than XML such as HTML or text. An XSLT processor is required for an XSLT transformation. Some of the commonly used XSLT processors include Xalan-Java, Oracle XSLT Processor for Java and the JAXP XSLT transformer. A stylesheet is used to transform an XML document.
